Handmade knives

Among the most exclusive are handmade knives. Knives not made in machines on an assembly line. Finer and more unique materials are often used – not uncommon with more unusual steels and shapes in the knife blade.

A handmade knife is not necessarily a better knife, but it is a more personal knife. Something that not everyone else has and the knife can be your friend for many decades to come if it is looked after well.

The disadvantage of handmade knives is of course the time it takes to make them, everything from forging the blade, looking for all the materials, hardening, sharpening, polishing, oiling and so on makes the cost of a handmade knife stand out. It is not unusual to pay 5000 to 10 kroner for a handmade knife.

In our inventory, we've tried to focus on a middle ground – knives that don't cost much, may not be as well made as someone's sweetheart, but are still a unique piece of work and perfect as a gift for the person who has everything else.
Our handmade knives are therefore still budget knives – luxurious materials such as horn and exotic woods together with handmade Damascus blades make for fantastic knives that, well cared for, give their owners great joy in having a knife that is only theirs.

It should be noted that handmade knives are just that, and unlike the CNC machines, the hand tools leave marks behind to a greater extent. So please note that it is common that the knives are not as perfect as the ones that come out of the big factories in China.
